About Us

Tuttle Library was founded in 2014 by a group of citizens who wanted a library for the community of Tuttle. Under the supervision of the Friends of the Tuttle Public Library board, the library was operated only by volunteers and supported entirely by donations from the community. In 2018, the library hired its first librarian, Vivian Sloan.

On October 10, 2022, the City Council and Mayor of Tuttle passed the Establishing Ordinance, which allowed the City of Tuttle to create a public library. Tuttle Library became Tuttle Public Library in January 2023. This enabled the library to provide free library cards to Tuttle citizens, receive municipal funding, and provide new services such as interlibrary loan.

The mission of the Tuttle Public Library is to serve the Tuttle community and surrounding areas by providing access to information, technology, and reference services to its patrons.
